In another groundbreaking article, Rigoberto Tiglao discussed the atrocities of the Aquino administration and all its cohorts that have either been done discreetly that the public had missed it or had its witnesses silenced so it would not be publicized.<br />

Tiglao asserts that the crimes of the Yellows were done for the same purpose: absolute power. The Yellows pulled strings behind the scene in order to eliminate any threat to their stronghold in the government.<br />

One of the first biggest atrocities they did was the impeachment of former Chief Justice Corona during the Aquino administration based on tenuous reasons, but largely, the bribery of the Congress.<br />

The one to hold the post after Corona was Ma. Lourdes Sereno who was a good college friend of former President Benigno Aquino III.<br />

The pork barrel scam ran headlines during its peak and the Yellows managed to pin down opposition leaders in the legislative branch while keeping out their hands through the help of the Philippine Daily Inquirer which they gave exclusive access to cover the proceedings, documents, and alleged whistleblower Benhur Luy.<br />
<br />
In 2016, the Yellows rallied for their presidential candidate Mar Roxas through massive vote buying, but while that did not work, it helped them secure a place in the vice presidential post through Leni Robredo.<br />
<br />
The maneuvers of the Yellows in the pork barrel scam are now slowly coming to light with the acquittal of “pork barrel queen” Janet Napoles from the crime of kidnapping her own relative and long-time aide Benhur Luy.<br />
<br />
A background check on the Aquino-Napoles relations showed that they were longtime friends along with other Liberal Party (LP) figures such as former Budget Secretary Florencio Abad and Senator Franklin Drilon.<br />
<br />
Tiglao enumerated the facts about the pork barrel scam that he believes calls for an investigation in the Duterte administration with the first one being that the Commission on Audit’s (COA) special audit on the pork barrel funds covered the years 2007 to 2009 which was Arroyo’s administration.<br />
<br />
A special audit report from 2010 to 2012 which is the Aquino term has yet to be released.<br />
<br />
No one from the Yellows were charged for graft and corruption in the pork barrel scam, while the three senators who were were the biggest critics of the Yellow administration that time.<br />
<br />
Additionally, Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla were prospective presidential or vice presidential candidates for 2016 that time which Tiglao assumed might have been the reason why the Yellows pinned them down during the scam.<br />
<br />
Despite being unconstitutional, Aquino managed to maintain the practice up until 2016 through a funding scheme for Bottom Up Budgeting projects.<br />
<br />
Tiglao named Inquirer as the biggest media aide of the Yellows that helped secure their posts, in exchange, they managed to evade their Php 1.5 billion tax liability in Dunkin Donut which Inquirer owner Rufino family owns and also their Php 2 billion unpaid rentals for illegally leased Mile Long property.<br />

Iginiit ni Aquino na ginampanan lang niya ang “core executive functions” niya bilang pangulo at hindi niya sinapawan ng kapangyarihan ang Kongreso.<br />
<br />
Wala rin aniyang sapat na dahilan para kasuhan siya ng technical malversation dahil wala naman siyang direktang kustodiya sa kaban ng bayan.<br />

Hindi rin aniya maituturing na direktang pag-gasta ng pondo ang paglalabas ng budget circulars at memoranda.<br />

Trust for Vice President Leni Robredo slipped anew for the first quarter of 2017, with her net rating going down another 15 points, the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) poll showed.<br />
<br />
According to the results of the survey released Tuesday night, 55 percent of adult Filipinos have “much trust” for the Vice President, while 25 percent have “little trust,” and another 20 percent are undecided.<br />
<br />
This brings her net trust rating to a “good” +30, down 15 points from the +45 she got in December 2016, where 62 percent of respondents said they had “much trust” in her and another 18 percent gave her “little trust.”<br />
<br />
The non-commissioned survey was conducted from March 25 to 28, using face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adult Filipinos nationwide. It had a sampling error margin of ±3 percent, and ±6 each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, where SWS got 300 respondents each.<br />
<br />
This was released about a month since the SWS came out with satisfaction ratings, where Robredo got a “moderate” +26, an 11-point drop that was the biggest dip among top government officials.<br />

The survey was conducted months after her exit from the Cabinet of President Rodrigo Duterte, where she served as chair of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) for five months.<br />
<br />
Despite the decline, the Vice President’s camp said they were thankful for the “continued show of trust” for her.<br />
<br />
In a statement, Robredo’s spokesperson Georgina Hernandez said they are “encouraged” by the results, noting that the survey covered a period where the Vice President “began work outside the Cabinet,” through her office’s “Angat Buhay” anti-poverty initiative.<br />
<br />
“The survey results are a reminder to us as well that there are still many Filipinos who place their trust in VP Leni and her ability to serve and give voice to those on the margins of society,” Hernandez said.<br />
<br />
Big drop in Mindanao, urban areas<br />
<br />
Net trust for Robredo has gone down across all categories, except for a slight improvement among 18 to 24-year-olds.<br />
<br />
She saw the biggest loss in Mindanao, where her net trust rating came in at +20, falling down by 32 points and two grades, from “very good” to “moderate,” since the last quarter.<br />
<br />
Her net trust rating remains “very good” in Visayas and Balance Luzon, though both down by 10 points, to +40 and +33, respectively.<br />
<br />
Trust for the Vice President in urban and rural areas also fell by one grade, from last quarter’s “good” to “moderate.” She lost 24 points in urban areas, with a +23 net trust rating, and seven points in rural areas, where she got +35.<br />
<br />
Among social classes, she got a “moderate” +19 from class ABC, down by eight points. She still fares slightly better among classes D and E, though ratings here both fell by one grade: she got a “moderate” +27 and “good” +46, respectively.<br />
<br />
Robredo maintained a “good” net trust from women with +33, though it is down by 14 points. With men, she got a “moderate” +26, down by 16 points.<br />
<br />
The lone sector where the Vice President saw a slight increase was with 18 to 24-year-olds, where she got a “good” +38, up by four points from last quarter. She received a “good” +35 from 45 to 54 year-olds.<br />
<br />
Her ratings fell by one grade in other age brackets, where she got double-digit losses: she got a “good” +35 from 25 to 34-year-olds, down by 18 points; a “good” +32 from 35 to 44-year-olds, down by 2- points; and a “moderate” +14 from 55-year-olds and above, a 23-point decline.<br />
<br />
Based on educational attainment, Robredo lost 32 points from college graduates, where she got a “neutral” +7. She got a “good” +37 from elementary graduates, a “good” +38 from non-elementary graduates, a “moderate” +27 from high school graduates, all of which came with double-digit losses as well.<br />

Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday said she is hopeful that President Rodrigo Duterte is sincere in his respect for her mandate amid their differences.<br />
<br />
“Ako, sana sinsero [siya]. Sana sinsero. Mahirap sabihin, pero ako kasi parati kong… ang gulo-gulo na, eh. Parang parati kong pinanghahawakan kahit kaunti lang ‘yung pag-asa na magiging maayos pa rin,” she said in a live guesting on Unang Hirit.<br />
<br />
Robredo noted that the President has always been cordial whenever they would meet in events, even after she resigned as his Housing czar—a move prompted by her exclusion from Cabinet meetings.<br />
<br />
They have since been seen together at public events, including the respective graduation rites of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) and the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA).<br />
<br />
It was during the PNPA graduation that the two officials were seen seated side by side. At its sidelines, Duterte extended an invite to host dinner for Robredo and her daughters—which the Vice President said she is looking forward to.<br />
<br />
Robredo said she counts on this cordiality amid the “mixed signals” sent by some of his allies.<br />
<br />
“Ako kasi, ‘yung lahat ng pagkikita namin ng Pangulo, ‘yung personal na pagkikita, wala naman siyang pinapakitang masama,” she said.<br />
<br />
“Nagkita kami sa PMA, nagkita kami sa PNPA, kahit pagkatapos na ‘yun ng lahat ng kaguluhan, lahat ng intriga, maganda pa rin ‘yung pakikitungo sa akin. At ‘yun ‘yung pinanghahawakan ko. Kahit parang iba ‘yung—sabi mo nga—kahit iba ‘yung signals galing sa mga taong nakapaligid sa kaniya,” she added.<br />
<br />
‘Pinag-aaway’<br />
<br />
In a separate live interview on radio dzBB, Robredo noted that she and Duterte share common goals, but have different approaches on certain matters.<br />
<br />
But more than their differences, Robredo indicated that “forces” surrounding Duterte may be working to drive them apart.<br />
<br />
“Ang palagay ko pareho [na nakakaapekto ‘yon]. Pareho in the sense na meron kaming magkakaibang pananaw. Pareho ‘yung gusto naming resulta, pero ‘yung alam namin na proseso, iba,” she said in a live interview with Mike Enriquez on radio dzBB.<br />
<br />
“Pangalawa, tingin ko rin, marami ring puwersa na nakapaligid sa Pangulo na gusto kaming pag-awayin,” she added.<br />
<br />
Asked for possible motives of those seeking to cause a rift between them, Robredo said: “Marahil merong sariling interes.”<br />
<br />
“Halimbawa, sino ba ‘yung gumugugol ng maraming panahon para sirain ako? Ano ba ‘yung dahilan para gusto akong sirain? Sino ba naman ako? Pangalawang Pangulo lang ako, bakit gusto akong siraan? … Bakit maraming atensyon ‘yung sinasayang sa akin?” she added.<br />
<br />
The President had told those seeking Robredo’s impeachment to “lay off,” noting that it was only less than a year since their election.<br />
<br />
The impeachment threats came from his allies and supporters, including House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez and a group of lawyers who are critical of the Vice President online.<br />
<br />
Two impeachment complaints have since been submitted at the House of Representatives against Robredo. Both raps have yet to secure an endorsement from any lawmaker.<br />

Former Naga City Councilor and Barangay Chairman of Naga City Luis Ortega exposed the alleged corruption practices of the Robredos and how narrated how they fought against the one of the most powerful family in Bicol Region.<br />

In the video recorded by Niño R. Barzaga, Ortega asked Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre to talk to him because he’s going to reveal something against the Robredos.<br />
<br />
Ortega narrated how the Robredo rise to power. He also claimed that he helped the former City Mayor of Naga, Jessie Robredo against the people who wanted to grab his power.<br />
<br />
Ortega belied that Jessie Robredo was appointed by former President Cory Aquino.<br />
<br />
“Ang pinakaunang pagsisinungaling ni [Jessie] Robredo.. dahil yung sinasabi niya na ang nag appoint sa kanya eh si [former] President Cory..which is not true.. ang nag appoint sa kanya is yung deputy secretary Douglas Cagas” Ortega said.<br />
<br />
“Kaya si Robredo, ang salita ko palagi sa kanya ay number one na sinungaling sa buong mundo,” Ortega added.<br />
<br />
He said that Ortega and his friend former Naga City councilor Emilio Aguinaldo filed 70 cases against the Robredos, including administrative cases.<br />
<br />
In the video, Ortega presented the documents that still not circulating on the internet.<br />
<br />
29 out of 70 cases that they filed against the Robredos were already dismissed because of political reasons.<br />
<br />
He believe that his friend Aguinaldo was assassinated by the men of Jessie Robredo.<br />
<br />
He urged justice secretary Aguirre to reinvestigate the cases that they filed against the Robredos.<br />

<b>MANILA, Philippines </b>— Embattled Vice President Leni Robredo recently disclosed that someone tried to rescind her daughter's admission to one of the most prestigious universities in the world.<br />
<br />
Asked what her greatest fear for her family is, Robredo lamented how her three daughters are being dragged into the political circus despite her prayers that they be spared from online crossfire.<br />
<br />
She said her detractors attempted to sabotage Aika's admission to Harvard University through a letter that discredits the family's capability to send the student to the Ivy League school.<br />
<br />
"Aika showed me a letter of my detractors... Iyong letter nila pinapa-rescind iyong acceptance niya sa Harvard. And the grounds na sinabi nila was iyong tuition daw kasi ay mahal. Ang mahal ng tuition," Robredo said at "TERETalks" in St. Theresa's College, Quezon City last Saturday.<br />

The vice president conversely threw shade against her bitter rival even without mentioning the name of defeated vice presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos, whose father, the dictator Ferdinand, amassed great wealth during Martial Law.<br />

"Iyong mga nakaw na yaman madali siyang i-accuse sa iyo. But you can readily see kung sino iyong may nakaw na yaman. By the way they live their lives diba? Hindi iyan sa SALN eh. Pero iyong araw-araw na ino-observe mo how they live their life eh. Diba hindi naman iyan natatago," Robredo said.<br />

She said that the failed attempt to block Aika's entry to Harvard had no effect on her daughter who is set to leave on June 18.<br />

The Presidential Assistant for Economic Affairs, Jose Alenjandrino reaveled the Liberal Party's plot on dethroning President Duterte.<br />

He shared his views, on his facebook account, pointed out specific events, in where it adds support that the LP is doing things to expell and ruin the reputation of Duterte's administration.<br />

Former Senator Bongbong Marcos once exposed such strategy. It is by winning Robredo on the Vice-Presidential race was the shot LP needs in order to claim back the post.<br />

The Office of the Ombudsman has found probable cause to charge Southern Leyte governor Damian Mercado with falsification of public documents for allegedly failing to state true and complete information in his identification documents.<br />

According to the Ombudsman, Mercado failed to submit a complete and truthful Personal Data Sheet (PDS) and Elective Local Official's Profile Directory (ELOPD).<br />
<br />
Mercado claimed in these documents that he was a civil engineer by profession and completed grade school at Maasin Central School from 1964 to 1971.<br />
<br />
But the Ombudsman also noted that Mercado failed to state in his 2010 PDS the years of his graduation from the educational institutions he supposedly studied in.<br />
<br />
“Mercado’s failure to fill up the spaces for the year when he graduated (if graduated) constitutes concealment of information in violation of his undertaking in his PDS to state the true, correct and complete statement pursuant to the provisions of pertinent laws, rules and regulations," the Ombudsman said in a resolution.<br />
<br />
The Ombudsman said Mercado's failure to explain the observations regarding the years he finished his elementary education and his college degree, his "evasive" claim that he may be mistaken for a civil engineer because he was a contractor, and the incomplete entries in his PDS and ELOPD "all endanger the well-founded belief that the governor withheld and concealed the truth and falsified his entries."<br />
<br />
Mercado argued that the complaint against him must be dismissed due to the Ombudsman's inordinate delay in its investigation.<br />
<br />
The Ombudsman, however, dismissed Mercado's defense and explained that “the fact-finding case or case build-up phase of the prosecutorial process of this Office is not part of preliminary investigation.”<br />
<br />
According to Article 171 (4) of the Revised Penal Code, a public official has committed falsification when he or she, by taking advantage of his or her position, makes an untruthful statement in narrating the facts in a document.<br />

Dela Rosa, who grew up in a poor family admitted that he was once a kanto boy before until he entered the Philippine Military Association.<br />

"They can call me a kanto boy, sabi nila kanto boy daw ang aking sagot sa tanong na iyon. Kanto boy, it's okay with me. They can call me kanto boy. Totoo man talaga, naging kanto boy ako noon. Hindi lang ako nakapasok ng PMA, baka kanto boy ako hanggang ngayon," Dela Rosa said.<br />

The PNP chief also stressed that no one should look down on "kanto boys" because not all people who hangs in the street are bad guys.<br />

"Okay lang, Call me kanto boy. But remember… hindi lahat ng kanto boy masasama. At hindi lahat ng mayayaman, learned, educated na mga tao, mabubuti. Wag mong ismolin ang isang taong kanto boy dahil hindi lahat ng kanto boy, masama," he added.<br />

Binanggit ito ni Estrada matapos mabalitaan ang plano ni De Lima na maghain ng petisyon sa Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court upang payagan itong makadalo sa sesyon ng Senado.<br />

Ayon sa dating senador, minsan na rin niya itong ginawa bago matapos ang kanyang termino noong 2016 subalit hindi siya pinayagan ng Sandiganbayan na siyang dumidinig ng kanyang kaso.<br />

“Nais ko lang ipaalam sa iyo, kung natatandaan mo pa, na ako rin ay gustong dumalo sa mga sesyon sa Senado noong bago n’yo lang ako ipinakulong. Naghain ako ng mosyon sa Sandiganbayan ngunit hindi ako pinagbigyan na makadalo sa huling araw ng sesyon ng Senado upang magpaalam sa aking mga kababayan at kasamahan sa Senado,” paglalahad ni Estrada sa kanyang Facebook account.<br />

“Just an unsolicited advice to you Madam Leila, I don’t think you should push through with your plan of filing a motion before the court for you to attend the Senate sessions. That will prove to be an exercise in futility,” payo ni Estrada.<br />

Ito ay kaugnay ng video message ni Robredo na ipinadala nya sa United Nations kung saan tinutuligsa ang kampanya kontra ilegal na droga ng administrasyong Duterte.<br />

BEIJING – A House panel may have refused to recommend criminal charges against Sen. Leila de Lima, but President Duterte is confident that the former justice secretary “will rot in jail” for involvement in the illegal drug trade.<br />
<br />
Duterte told reporters here yesterday that he saw De Lima suffering the fate of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who was placed in hospital detention without bail during the administration of former president Benigno Aquino III on charges of corruption and poll cheating.<br />
<br />
The charges were eventually dismissed, allowing her<br />
<br />
to attend House sessions during her third term as representative of Pampanga’s second district.<br />
<br />
Interestingly, De Lima was the justice secretary when the cases against Arroyo were filed.<br />
<br />
“The testimonies of those who lined up there previously, and given the test of the crucible of direct and cross-examination and put it to the test, I am telling you now, she is in danger of going to jail,” Duterte said here. “And remember, the moment the indictments are filed in court, there is no bail. And she could (experience) what Gloria Arroyo suffered.”<br />
<br />
De Lima is being investigated by the Department of Justice on accusations that she collected money from drug lords to finance her senatorial bid during the 2016 polls. Inmates of the New Bilibid Prison also claimed during congressional hearings that De Lima had granted special privileges to high-value convicts when she was justice secretary.<br />
<br />
De Lima has denied the allegations and claimed that Duterte is out to assassinate her character because she has been critical of his brutal war on drugs. She also predicted that Duterte would be embarrassed for making false allegations.<br />
<br />
But the President is convinced that the inmates who tagged De Lima in the narcotics trade were telling the truth. He has portrayed De Lima in several speeches as the example of a narco politician.<br />
<br />
“You think those officials who testified against her were lying? These so many NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) agents and all? And her odious character,” he said. “She (talks) as if she is raising the view of womanhood to take away the heat (from her)…If those (drug) connections are true, she will rot in jail. She will rot in jail. It’s no bail because not only did she encourage (and allow) shabu to enter (the penitentiary) in and out, she was a principal by direct participation.”<br />
