READ: Who’s ‘stupid’? - who do you think? What do you think? | Tell now!

What do you think?" />

PREDICTABLY, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte’s latest zinger against his presidential rival Mar Roxas had much of the media and the public in a tizzy.
Dared by Roxas to disclose his medical records following news last week that the mayor had canceled his scheduled speaking engagement—ironically before a medical association—and stayed overnight in a hospital after a severe bout of “migraine,” Duterte said he’d do so provided Roxas should first prove he is circumcised. Duterte’s camp would later on try to spin the on-cam statement by saying that what the mayor only meant was, his rival wasn’t “cut out” for the presidency.

The schoolyard taunting was vintage Duterte, and his supporters lapped it up as usual. That the mayor could stick it to his opponents, and twist the knife further, was a reaffirmation for them that this man, indeed, has the cojones to be the savior of a country long gone to seed. Also, more memorable quotes from the mayor, more media mileage, and the self-proclaimed poor candidate from Davao might just prove to be the most astute candidate of them all, effortlessly able to keep himself top of mind in the public consciousness merely by keeping the presidential discourse—if you could even call it that—on the puerile, juvenile side.

Must presidential aspirants reveal their medical status? Should that even be debated on? Any sane voter would want to know, at the very least, whether his/her preferred candidate for the highest position in the land is of sound physical and mental health to take on the enormous burden of running the country 24/7. A person’s health is no longer a private matter exempt from public scrutiny once he/she presumes to want to be the leader of the citizenry, whose collective wellbeing would now rest in part on his/her well-being as well, once he/she is installed in Malacañang.

Disclosing the state of one’s health is an elementary requirement for public officials in other countries. Here, however, candidates merely scoff at it; before Duterte, Miriam Defensor Santiago also laughed off suggestions for her to fully disclose her medical records following her supposed battle with, and eventual triumph over, stage-4 cancer. An illness, lest we forget, that sidelined the senator for a considerable period of time from her duties in the Senate, on top of her “chronic fatigue syndrome” that also forced her, if she is to be believed, from assuming even for a day the post of judge in the International Criminal Court to which she was reportedly elected.

In Duterte’s case, the migraine attack—he would change it later on to “headache and bronchitis”—not only had him staying overnight at Cardinal Santos Medical Center; he also admitted he instructed his operatives to lie and tell the media he was in Davao, supposedly to ward off any media intrusion as he underwent hospital tests. By any standard, that admission should elicit outrage; any other candidate saying, at this point, that they lied to the public to hide their true state of health would be subject to much derision and condemnation.

After all, if a candidate and his lackeys could traffic in falsehoods this early—and be seemingly blasé about it—what bigger untruths will they not feel free to foist to keep the public in the dark once they’ve won the mighty presidency, where even greater stakes are at play?

He may not realize it, but Duterte himself appears to give the game away in a telling follow-up comment that unfortunately got buried in the general hilarity that greeted his salacious broadside against Roxas: “I won’t reveal my medical records,” he reiterated. “Ano ako, tanga (What am I, stupid)?”

Let’s parse that statement. From a political point of view, disclosing his records would only be stupid if it indeed provides something that would be detrimental to his image, that sows doubt in the minds of people, takes votes away from him and provides ammunition to his enemies. Is there? Might there be in the records, in fact, a confirmation that the mayor’s condition is not as benign and temporary as his camp has tried to pass it off? Otherwise, if Duterte has a bill of health as clean as the streets of Davao that he is so proud of, what is there to hide, and why would opening up his medical bulletin be stupid at all?

That goes as well, of course, for the other candidates, whose avowals of fundamental honesty in office must begin with the disclosure of their individual health status. The public cannot live on verbal assurances alone. What are we, stupid?

Sen. Leila de Lima said she is praying for her "own resurrection" on Easter Sunday, after she observed Holy Week in detention.

De Lima, who is detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame, is seeking the Supreme Court's relief to nullify her arrest over drug charges.

Her legal team will submit on Monday her memorandum for this petition.

"I pray that SC will have the wisdom, discernment and courage to uphold what is true and just, and to see right through my case as clear political persecution," she said.

The senator said she remains "passionate" about her fight for human rights and justice.

"They may deprive me temporarily of my liberty, they may paralyze me physically, but they can never ever kill or destroy my spirit and my passion for the things I truly believe in—respect for human rights and justice," she said.

"As I commit my own resurrection and salvation, dear Lord, increase my faith, strengthen my hope, inflame my love for You and our country," she added.

De Lima earlier lamented having missed for the first time the Good Friday procession in her hometown, Iriga in Camarines Sur.

She observed the Stations of the Cross in detention with family and friends who came to visit, and a Mass was celebrated by her spiritual adviser, Fr. Robert Reyes.

MANILA, Philippines — Blogger and sexy performer Mocha Uson, who has been calling for the impeachment of Vice President Leni Robredo, has been "impeached" herself twice in just a span of a month.

Early this month, Mocha's account was suspended in Twitter, but was also restored within the day. According to Twitter, the common reasons for suspending an account include spam, account security is at risk, or abusive tweets or behavior from the user.

Just this week, her radio program in DZRH has been indefinitely suspended after a certain Jozy Acosta-Nisperos of the group The Silent Majority complained against Uson's bad mouthing and tirades against Vice President Leni Robredo's video sent to the United Nations about the administration's alleged extrajudicial killings.

Despite the suspension, the episode in question is still posted in .

In an interview with News5 on Thursday, Mocha said: "Nirerespeto ko ang desisyon ng DZRH but I still stand by my statement. Kung ano man ang sinabi ko 'dun, dahil b____ talaga si Leni Robredo. Sinungaling pa dahil 'yung mga sinasabi n'ya dun sa video n'ya addressed to the UN body at 'yung mga tungkol sa palit-ulo at statistics sa patayan sa Pilipinas. Kasinungalingan yun dahil hindi nila niresearch at I stand by what I said. B____ s'ya."
According to DZRH station manager Rudolph Jularbal, a legal counsel, to be able to continue her program, Uson must take an exam on broadcaster's accreditation first. The exam is administered by the broadcast industry's non-government regulatory body, Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas.

Mocha's supporters made a trending hashtag on social media calling for Robredo's impeachment, #GoodbyeLeni.
MESSAGE: Dear Mr President walang iwanan

Dear Mr. President,

Thank you for all that you are doing for the country.

The past 100 days have been a whirlwind of change – from your non-stop war on the illegal drug trade, to your efforts to finally have peace with the various rebel groups in the country, and everything in between. It truly is amazing to see the good that one determined leader can do even in a short time.

But the thing is Mr. President, there are still two thousand ninety one more days to go before your term ends. And frankly we are worried about your health. We know you’ve said that you are willing to die for the country, and death is not something that will hold you back from doing your duty. But while we admire your fearlessness and courage, we would much rather have you alive and well.

There are still so many things that need to be done to set the country right again, and we do not trust anyone else to do it. Certainly not the Liberal Party whom you have already shown to be the enemies of all right-thinking Filipinos. And those people are just salivating at the thought of getting back to power. You are all that stands in their way.

Without you Mr. President, it is hard to imagine how the reforms you have started can continue. Some have likened you to Abraham Lincoln, and as a keen student of history we are sure that you are aware how his premature death derailed whatever gains the blacks won after the American civil war. God forbid that something like that were to happen now. Losing you would be more than many Filipinos will be able to take. It might even be more than the republic itself can bear.

Whether you intended to or not, you have become more than just a political leader. For many of us, you are now the solitary symbol of hope in this benighted political landscape. You have shown us that despite all our previous experiences, government can actually come down on the side of the people. That not all politicians are assholes – ok, maybe the majority still are – but there are some who actually care for the people.

For these and many, many more reasons we ask that you please take care of yourself Mr. President. This is not a sprint, but a marathon and you really need to pace yourself before you get burned out. Do not give your enemies the satisfaction of outlasting you.

On our part, we promise to stay with you – behind, at your side, and in front – at all times, in all situations, on every occasion. You can count on us to back you up. We will never waver in our commitment to help you achieve what you want for this country. We are yours Mr. President, until the six years is over and you return to your home and people in Davao. We will be with you. Walang iwanan, Mr. President.

The first 100 days of President Rodrigo Duterte has been met with widespread approval from his Filipinos, with many expressing their satisfaction – where else, but on social media where the President has been the undisputed king since even before the campaign.

Social media has been abuzz with the results of the recent SWS survey that gave Duterte a “very good” rating, ranking him higher than previous Presidents Aquino, Arroyo, and Estrada during their first 100 days. This despite the often critical coverage of mainstream media, which unsurprisingly ignored the traditional “honeymoon period” usually accorded to new Presidents.

Ever since Duterte called out members of the press for corruption within their own ranks, the relationship has been rocky at best. With Duterte not bothering to bow down before the mighty Philippine media, and the writers, editors, reporters, and media owners taking every opportunity to insult, ridicule, and belittle the President whenever they can.

Underscoring the waning influence of mainstream media on Philippine political affairs, many pro-Duterte sites on Facebook and other social media platforms have helped in boosting the President’s popularity by countering many of the unfounded criticism that have been hurled at him.

Tributes to Duterte’s 100 days have been coming out, with many of the comments from readers and viewers expressing satisfaction with what has been achieved, and hope for what lies in the future.
DUTERTE: Facebook challenge media dominance in the Philippines

Duterte, Facebook challenge media dominance in the Philippines

The dominant role of mainstream media as the primary gatekeepers of news and information in the Philippines took another big hit as social media giant Facebook has offered to live stream the inauguration of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte to its more than 40 million users in the country.

The offer was revealed by incoming Secretary Martin Andanar of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO). “I’m meeting with the guys from Facebook. They’re flying over and they’re offering, they’re proposing to stream the entire event, the entire inaugural,” he said during an interview.

The entry of Facebook into the inaugural picture brings to full circle Duterte’s unlikely path to the Philippine Presidency. A journey that would have been cut short if not for his millions supporters on social media.

From the moment the name of the erstwhile Davao City mayor was mentioned as a possible candidate for President, Filipinos from all walks of life took to social media to voice their ardent — some would even say rabid — support.

Lack of funds nothwithstanding, Duterte’s largely organic volunteer army of social media warriors succesfully took on not just the most organized and well-funded political machinery in the country but also the whole media establishment. And it came out victorious.

Given the largely social media-driven nature of the Duterte campaign, many of his supporters welcome the move of Facebook, and there is hope of a more inclusive system of sharing information with the general public.
Alay-lakad is an annual form of penitence that many Filipinos participate in to commemorate the passions of Jesus Christ.

Many devotees from the neighboring cities of Antipolo gather to walk the long distance from Pasig to the church of Our Lady of Antipolo or Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage. Pilgrims are also out to seek blessings from the holy church as they endure the struggles on the road to Antipolo.

Pilgrims who join the annual penitence argue that they wanted to experience the hardships of Jesus Christ before he died on the cross.

The alay-lakad is their way of repenting from their sins and appreciating the sacred teachings of the holy bible.

However, it seemed some devotees do not know the essence of alay-lakad anymore. With the recent post of a netizen, they did not expect that their annual penitence would turn into a tragic experience.

Facebook user Rena Morales used her social media account to ask help from the public for her sister who was sent to a hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

According to Rena, they were joining the alay-lakad when their was involved in a street-fight. Unfortunately, Namie Morales became the casualty as an unidentified man who forcefully hit her head with a rock.

This caused severe trauma to her skull and blood clot near her brain. Because of her critical condition, she has to undergo a medical surgery. Rena is asking for financial help as Namie’s operation costs more than P100,000.

While many netizens express their sympathy for the Morales family, many social media users are also expressing their disappointment as they deemed alay-lakad as a sacred practice.

With what happened to Namie, they think that some young pilgrims are only present for the wrong reasons.
They think that this tragic incident shows that not all devotees are embodying the teachings of the church. They also think that they are not sincere with their penitence.

What can you say about this unfortunate event? Do you think there should be a regulatory body that would monitor the pilgrims joining this annual practice? Share with us what you think in the comment section below.
Besting two other UAE-based Filipino bands in a recently held songwriting competition, a five-man all-Pinoy group has been selected to perform with a Philippine-based hard rock group at the Club Epic, Capitol Hotel in Dubai last week.

"This was our first front act for a major concert of a famous rock band from the Philippines," shared vocalist Rosette John Balanay of Up The Ante in an email.

By "famous rock band from the Philippines" Balanay was referring to Kjwan, which is composed of vocalist Marc Abaya, bassist Kelley Mangahas, guitarist Boogie Romero, drummer Eo Marcos, and keyboardist Enrique de Dios.

“It is exciting! As a songwriter myself, I would like to feel that I have connected to as much lives as I can, and somehow touch their lives in a way that I know... that is MUSIC,” said Balanay, 32, a project officer at Mednet UAE.

For the competition, Up the Ante performed their original song "Fallen," which was dedicated to the 44 members of the Special Action Forces (SAF) who were killed during the infamous January 2015 Mamasapano clash.

Balanay said they learned about the contest through. "[Fellow Pinoy bands] Wikaan Project and Timeo also signed in for the competition," he said.

The Wikaan Project won the 2nd place.

According to Balanay, the criteria for the contest wasn 15 points for the number of Facebook 'likes,' 20 points for the music and arrangement, 20 points for the lyrics and melody, 20 points for the originality, and 25 points for the stage performance.

"Fallen," Balanay said, was not the only original composition they played during the competition.

"'Sick Superiority' is our new song. I wrote it just a week ago and [it] tells a lot about what's going on in the country's politics. This is a statement to enforce democracy and show the world that we can no longer be controlled by those who are hungry for power. That change has come, and it is time to clean the house, throw the garbage, and clear the dust."

Also featured in the concert are Gatilyo and Tsinelas, who co-produced the event.

Balanay said Kjwan is one of their influences in music.
READ: Whiff of Corruption?

“Even a whiff of corruption, I will fire you.” This statement and variations on the theme of the “whiff of corruption,” have become President Rodrigo Duterte’s byword.

The “whiff of corruption” has led to the removal of Interior and Local Government Secretary Ismael Sueño, National Irrigation Authority head Peter Laviña, Bureau of Immigration Assistant Commissioners Al Argosino and Michael Robles, and 92 officials from the Land Transportation Office and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.

The most recent casualty of the “whiff of corruption” is the Undersecretary of the Office of the Cabinet, Maia Chiara Halmen Valdez.

In some cases, the act of corruption was brazen as in the case of the two immigration officials who were caught on video receiving bribe money amounting to P50 million.

But with regard to the dismissal of Ms. Valdez, the news stories suggest that the issue is not about corruption but about a policy question.

The title of a news item from ABS-CBN news says: “Duterte fires Undersecretary over rice importation ‘irregularities.’” A closer reading of the story and other articles reveals that the “irregularities” pertain to rice policy and the proper role of the National Food Authority (NFA).

The dismissed undersecretary, acting on behalf of the National Food Authority Council, chaired by Office of the Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco, Jr., overruled the unilateral decision of the NFA Administrator Jason Aquino to suspend rice importation.

Mr. Aquino’s justification: Importation is unnecessary at this time, for it is still the harvest season. Mr. Aquino resists the NFAC decision to implement the rice importation, in compliance with the minimum access volume (MAV) provision that the Philippine government is committed to follow.

The MAV is a World Trade Organization ruling that the country has agreed to, in exchange for keeping the protectionist quantitative restrictions (QR). The MAV allows the private sector to import rice based on a quota.

The fact is, based on the Philippine commitment to the WTO, the QR should be lifted this year, 2017. The QR will be replaced by tariffs.

Mr. Aquino also opposes the private sector from importing rice and wants to put in place government-to-government (G2G) rice importation.

But as various studies (e.g., Philippine Institute for Development Studies) have shown and as articulated by Ms. Valdez, the GTG transactions in the Philippines are predisposed to opacity, corruption, waste, and inefficiency.

President Duterte has sided with NFA Administrator Aquino as well as with Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol. Said Mr. Duterte: “How can I face the farmers? Why should we allow importation to compete with local products? Of course, it didn’t push through because I stopped it.”

Now, that statement is appealing to the farmers. It arouses populist and nationalist sentiments. But it is the wrong kind of nationalism. And it is the wrong way of protecting the farmers.

The trade-off is costly.

In spite of the aggressive drive for rice self-sufficiency during the term of Benigno S. C. Aquino III, which was done at huge costs, the Philippines has remained a net importer of rice.

Not known to many, “the Philippines has imported rice almost every year since 1869.” (This quotation is from a presentation done by Justin D. McKinley, Lanier Nalley, and Nate B. Lyman on food security vs. self-sufficiency, Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, University of Arkansas, 2013.) Mainly because of limited land endowment, typhoon weather, and high population density, the Philippines finds it almost impossible to attain 100% rice self-sufficiency.

The policy of restricting rice importation to enable rice self-sufficiency only jacks up prices. Less supply means higher prices. Worse, the ban creates speculation and manipulation, leading to greater shortages. Food, especially, rice, has the greatest weight in the inflation basket. The poor suffer most because rice constitutes a higher share of their budget. Steeper rice prices because of shortage translate into hunger or malnutrition for the poor. Add to this the fact that net sellers of rice are very few, mainly the rich farmers.

A ban on rice imports, even a temporary one, is ineffective. It does not help Filipino farmers at all, for the restriction does not enable conditions to improve productivity and competitiveness. Worse, the restriction hits the poor most and undermines the macroeconomy.

The correct approach is to improve domestic production and productivity and let farmers choose which crop will generate more income or benefits for his family. There are areas where rice production has a comparative advantage, but we cannot impose something that will be done that entails great costs to society.

To return to the theme of “whiff of corruption,” I have a different take. What breeds corruption is what Mssrs. Duterte, Aquino, and Piñol want -- the ban on rice importation and the insistence on having G2G transactions. There, I smell a rat.

Filomeno S. Sta. Ana III coordinates the Action for Economic Reforms.

FOREST PARK, Ga. -- A middle school student in Georgia was showing off a gun on social media when he accidentally shot himself in the head and died on Monday, his family said.

Family members say 13-year-old Malachi Stephens traded his iPhone for a handgun just four days before the shooting, CBS affiliate WGCL-TV reports.

“That is my godson, Malachi. He was 13 years old and he was in his bedroom playing with a gun on Instagram Live,” Shantiera Bankston told WGCL while holding a portrait of the teen. “He was full of life, he was a good kid, very active, loved dancing.”

Family members consider the shooting an accident and believe the fatal incident would have been prevented if someone had spoken up.

“He did not kill himself,” said Bankston. “He loved life, he was just playing with a gun and the gun went off… If somebody would have said something, maybe he’d be still here.”

The boy’s father, Ernest Stephens, said Malachi’s mother kicked down his locked bedroom door in Forest Park and found her son lying on the ground.

“When the accident happened inside that room, he was fighting from the time it happened, before the ambulance got here, he was still fighting,” he said.

Malachi later died at an Atlanta hospital. His friends and family members gathered together to light candles in his memory.

Forest Park police are investigating the incident and trying to determine how the teen obtained the weapon.
We all know that the Philippines is rich in beautiful landmarks and beaches. In fact, it's one of the most visited country by tourists from all over the globe.

But did you know that besides the country's well-known tourism, Philippines is now considered as the 'richest country in the world?'

All thanks to Deuterium, a heavy water or hydrogen water without oxygen that can only be obtained from the deep trenches of the world. And the one and only Trench with the widest and longest resource flow of Deuterium is the Philippines' Trench.

Recent research shows that a big deposit of 868 miles long, 52 miles at widest point, and 3 miles at deepest point can be found underneath the country. More than 12,000 kilometers from Central America to the Philippines, the Deuterium traveled through the span of the Pacific Ocean.

Because Deuterium is more than twice the weight of ordinary water, it sinks and in the process. Oxygen separates naturally from Hydrogen when the pressure becomes about 10,000 psi or more.

The usual ocean floor depth ranges between 2,000 meters to 3,000 meters. With the Philippine Trench at 7,000 meters to 10,500 meters deep, Deuterium is naturally trapped through the ages untapped by man through this day.

By taking out impurities from Deuterium, Lithium-Hydrogen Fuel is produced by a simple but special process at very, very low cost.

With this, cheap Hydrogen will reactivate all idled Hydrogen based industries internationally affected by high petroleum costs, and this will boost food, chemical, and metal industries worldwide.

It Could also replace gasoline, LPG, LNG, Avgas, etc. in powering all types of internal combustion engines.

It does not emit pollutants or any harmful carbon monoxide and does not cause any environmental problems because it is in the water family as emissions are nothing but water vapor or steam.

The government only awaits for a formal declaration from the UN Convention of the Law of the Sea (Unclos) before exploring the trench with the help of some private companies.

Check out the video of the exploration here.
“jackpot nanaman”

“…Tamang alipin”

Those are things that you definitely would NOT want to hear your Uber driver say while driving you to your destination.

Nowadays, there are plenty of people who rely on UBER for a hassle-free and safe ride, but are you really safe?

In this post that’s going viral by the second, Mary Nel Sagalongos shared details about her UBER ride that would make your hairs stand up in fear. One thing’s for sure, the word “sketchy” is definitely an understatement for this one.

Going from SM Aura to Eastwood with her sister, they booked a ride with an Uber driver named Antonio Amoranto.

This story is chuck full of thrill and suspense!

It had a driver who cursed a lot, two beautiful ladies, a Waze route left unfollowed, sketchy alleys, and an EVEN SKETCHIER PHONECALL! All that was missing was a white van (it was a black Avanza instead), and you've got yourself a crime in the making!

Don’t believe us? Just check this video!

Sagalongos also posted an audio recording that her sister took:

Fortunately, the sisters got off in a crowded place and made it to their destination safely with the help of another Uber driver who helped them with what happened.
‘Palmistry’ or palm reading is the art of examining lines and other features of the palm to know a person’s character and foretell their future.

Many ancient civilizations have laid claims to inventing this practice – most notably India, China and Persia.

This specific line on a person’s palm, as alleged by practitioners of palm reading, is called the “angel line.”

According to palm readers, people who have this line have a guarding angel watching over them.

Because this is a rare wrinkle on a palm, it is said that the few people who have it are very lucky.

Supposedly, if you or someone you know has a line running parallel to the lifeline on the left palm, then you are blessed with good fortune.

Naturally, we at TNP cannot validate how factual these perceived superstitions are. However, we can’t stop anyone curious enough to see what their future may hold in the palm of their hands.

Some allies of President Rodrigo Duterte at the House of Representatives came together for a belated birthday party for him over the weekend.

The party was held at the the Malago Lounge, Malacañang Park on Saturday evening.

The seven-course, Japanese-inspired dinner was organized by Marinduque Rep. Lord Allan Velasco and his wife Wes, chairperson of the Pilipinong May Puso Foundation.

Duterte blew the candles on a three-tier, Philippine flag-inspired birthday cake that bore the seal of the Office of the President, and even sang "Ikaw" during the party.

Velasco—whose family celebrated Christmas with the Dutertes last year—said Saturday's "intimate dinner" was attended by "a few friends" to celebrate "friendship and a common love for the country."

Velasco told GMA News Online the dinner was their opportunity, "before the observance of Holy Week, to greet the President good health and show their support for his continuing campaign against drugs and crime."
Also at the party were actor Robin Padilla, who was granted absolute pardon late last year; and businessman Ramon Ang, who Duterte had claimed was a donor to his campaign even though the latter's name does not appear on the official list submitted to the Commission on Elections.
We are still trying to trace the provenance of the picture they used. Thanks to help from people like Danny Liew, we trace the picture to this post on a Chinese website. The two children in the picture were victims of organ trading in China.

WHO ARE THE CHILDREN IN THE PICTURE?

This is the largest example of the photo and was incensored, so this likely to be the original source of the photo. It was most likely combined with unrelated photo to creathe hoax.

Please note that we have no idea how true this story is, or if the picture is really of children killed for their organs.

WHO IS THE GUYS in THE PICTURE?

You might be wondering - who is the chap. The Coverrage Bureau accused of being a child kidnapper, ipllegal organ trafficker and murdere. Thanks to?, we not only know who he is, but what the police apprehended him for.

According to the report and an NST news report, this man is 30-years old Mohd Akhyar Bin Othman from pahang. The were seen pursuing him and an unknown accomplice in their black Proton Perdana with the Registration number WHN 717 at aroung 2:20 PM on 1 november 2016.

At KM 3.7 of the MRR2 highway (heading towards Sungai Bulok), the police fired two shots at their car's tyre and successfully brought them to a halt. Unfortunately, only Mohd Akhyar was caught. His accomplice manage to escape. The police recovered a large amount of drugs in the car.

Sentul police Chief Assistant Commissioner R. Munusamy confirmed the incident in the NST news report.

While Mohd Akhyar is quite likelu a drug mule / trafficker (who is innocent until proven guilty), we know for sure that he is not the child kidnapper, illegal organ trafficker and murderer with 2 dead children in his van / Proton Perdana, as alleged in the fake The Coverage Bureau story. He's not even Thai!

STOP SHARING THEIR BULLSHIT

The Coverage Bueau is a Malaysian Clickbait website founded by Shen Yee Aun. He claims that they were inspired to "change the style, norm and culture on how we should be consuming news in Malaysia".

However, all they have done since their inception in november 2015 was copy (some would argue plagiarise) content from FACEBOOK and other clickbait websites. They were even caught reposting old news from mainstream newspapers as fresh news.

As a portal that doues not create any fresh or unique content, but merely regurgitates whatever their staff members think are "newsworthy" on the internet, they do NOT deserve your support.

President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday went on a fresh tirade against Vice President Leni Robredo, who he previously accused of being in a hurry to become the Philippines' highest official.

Duterte didn't mention anyone by name in his remarks before the Filipino community at the Royal Thai Navy Headquarters in Thailand, but his subject quickly became obvious as he introduced his running mate for vice president, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.

"Eh si... iyong babae ang pinili ninyo. Apurado, gusto ako paalisin. Hindi pa nga ako dumating ng isang taon dito, paalisin mo na ako. Sige, dalaga man siya. Sige, pakasalan mo ako," he said, drawing laughter from the crowd of overseas Filipinos.

"So dalawa na tayo dito. At least hindi ako mawawalaan ng ano — bulong nang bulong na lang ako sa iyo," he added.

Cayetano lost to Robredo in last year's elections.

Duterte's allies have accused Robredo of being part of a destabilization plot against his administration, pointing to her recent video speaking out against the war on drugs, which is the centerpiece of the administration.

House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, a staunch Duterte ally, has linked Robredo to an impeachment case filed against Duterte, and has threatened to have the vice president herself impeached.

In his remarks, Duterte claimed that Robredo had done nothing for the country.

“Nagmamadali. Maghintay ka. Wala ka pang ginawa sa bayan eh,” he added.
