GMA NEWSTV features a 78-year-old woman who dives deep into the sea to catch coins being thrown by seafarers and Roro (a small steamboat) passengers at Dalahican Ferry Terminal in Lucena, Quezon.
Well, we can just say that Filipinos have been doing it for already a very long time, which became a thing we are all accustomed to when we travel through waters. To others who have experienced such tossing of coins, they said that it is their own way of helping people who do such things. Some even toss not only coins or money, but also food tightly closed into a container to avoid getting wet by the sea waters.
