MANILA, Philippines — If Angel Locsin cannot anymore return to playing the role of Filipino superhero Darna, maybe another past Darna, Marian Rivera, can reprise the role? After all, she still has the looks and the body for it.
Just recently, Marian and Angel were together in a magazine cover fondly called, "Darna meets Darna" by GMA.
If given a chance, would Marian still want to become Darna?
"Ay hindi na! Siguro mas bata na dapat 'yung nandun. Saka nanay na ko. Iba naman!" she told Philstar.com in a recent interview during the launch for Johnson's which showcases her, Dingdong Dantes and their daughter Zia. This is their first endorsement as a family for the company.
She said, she does not have anyone in mind that fits the bikini of the iconic comic book character, but she has tips for the next one who will get the much-talked about role.
"The fact na binigay sa kanya 'yun, dapat alagaan n'ya. Gawin n'ya lahat para ma-justify n'ya 'yung character n'ya," she advised.
When she was still doing the Darna fantasy series for GMA back in 2009 to 2010, she recalled: "Lalo akong naging fit n'un. Inaalagaan ko talaga ang sarili ko kasi para maging Darna, it's an epic eh. Sobrang swerte!"
For now, her priorities are to become a super wife to her husband, and a super mom to their one-year-old bundle of joy, the actress said.
