Julia Montes isn't a fan of holding grudges. In fact, she seems to have a knack for seeing the silver lining in even the darkest of clouds.
The "Doble Kara" star and her deaf mother were abandoned at an early age by her biological father. But instead of harboring grievances, she believes that she became a better person because of it. And for that, she is thankful.
Sa lahat ng bagay nagiging thankful ako because of that," she explained.
Montes, born Mara Schnittka, reunited with her estranged German biological father, Martin Schnittka, last month. She told late night talk show "Tonight with Boy Abunda" that it was through the help of some of her and Coco Martin's fans.
Sabi nila mukhang ito iyong pinsan mo, kausapin mo siya, ito iyong account niya and all."
She did and as they say, the rest is history.
According to Montes, she plans to visit her father in Germany soon. But before that, she also revealed that Martin will again be flying back to the Philippines to celebrate her birthday in March.
