An embarrassing video of a Colombian beauty queen snatching the crown from the winner to protest her runner-up finish has gone viral online.
News outlet Yahoo! UK picked up the video and posted it on Facebook, where it garnered more than 1.1 million views in less than a week.
The clip shows runner-up Yeimy Lizeth Gamez standing next to rival Valentina Neira, who was awarded the title of "The National Bambuco Queen" during an annual pageant held at the Colombian city of Nieva.
Less than pleased with the result, Gamez made a lunge for the crown during a photo session before placing it on her head. The disgruntled beauty queen then tossed the tiara back at Neira as she stormed off the stage.
Showing her composure, Neira shrugged off incident, blew the losing beauty queen a kiss, and smiled at the audience, who booed Gamez.
"That flying kiss was the best revenge I've ever seen. Good luck to that runner-up," a Facebook user commented on the video, which has been shared more than 16,000 times.
Others harked back to the Miss Universe 2015 blunder involving host Steve Harvey, who erroneously declared Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner instead of the Philippines' Pia Wurtzbach.
"She looked around trying to find Steve Harvey but couldn't find him, so she took matters into her own hand," a fan quipped.
