President Rodrigo Duterte said that non-performing governors and mayors are next on his hit list in his crusade change under his administration.
In a transcript issued by Malacanang. Duterte said he would creat a special team which would look into the intel and otehr discretionary funds of governors and mayors because “these funds were the easiest to put in their pockets.”
“Ang dumi ng Pilipinas, the mayors are not doing anything. There is trash and garbage around and if you—you have to wait for the plastics to go inside the drainage so everytime there’s downpour, excessive rain, water nagkaclog,” said Duterte.
He said local government officials should make their areas clean and peaceful to justify the salaries they were getting from the government.
“Kayo nasa opisina nyo kakaganda.B inibili nyo furniture, ganda ng kotse, yung iba Land Cruiser Suburvan. Hindi na kayo nahiya?” said Duterte.
